2 United States Navy destroyers have borne the title USS Cole. A number 1 Cole was known as for Edward B. Cole. A 2nd ship was known as for Darrell S. Cole.

The 1st USS Cole (DD-155) was a Wickes-class destroyer. The 2nd USS Cole (DDG-67) is an Arleigh Burke-class "Aegis" guided missile destroyer. In October 12, 2000 it was attacked and damaged by suicide bombers utilizing the little inflatable boat. Understand USS Cole bombing.
